Legion Of Spurs 3rd FUTSAL

Time: 6pm to 9.30pm

Location: Ubersports @ East Coast Parkway

A cooling Saturday evening brought some Legion of Spurs (LOS) together at East Coast Park for a game of futsal.

This is the 4th futsal meet-up for fellow LOS to showcase their capabilities and talents to Paul Mitchell, the current Head of Recruitment of the beloved Tottenham Hotspur. Unfortunately club Chairman Daniel Levy blocked Mitchell’s departure in London, as budget airline RyanAir and EasyJet do not have flight directly to Singapore. The club’s Academy Manager & Head of Coaching, John McDermott, would also definitely have regretted not to be able to witness the bright youth talents LOS has on the futsal pitch.

Shown on the pitch were glimpses of skills and moments also replicated by our beloved Spurs. We’ve witnessed an open goal header hitting the post; a brilliance of Lamela and Kane; a work-horse with continuous stamina; and of course the up-and-coming youngsters performing exceptionally well. While everyone was the Player of the Match, the best player goes to a 20 year old teen who has the highest stamina as he jogged off after 5 minutes of game.

After 2 hours of sweating out, it was finally time to get some bites on the pizzas and packets of Nasi Briyani. While munching on these delicious food, LOS were engaged in gossips of everything under the Sun… I mean futsal shelter… oh whatever. The highlight of the session was the introduction of LOS cake celebrating Fathers’ Day in advance. Did I mention we sung the birthday song without the candle lighted?

All in all, it was yet another event which bonded LOS closer together; an event which has never failed to be enjoyable and fun.
