On the 12th of March 2017, Legion of Spurs entered its first competitive football tournament – Inter-Faith Tournament 7-a-side which was held at Victoria Secondary. We were represented by;

Our first football game was against Darul Arqam where we won 1-0. Harmi scored the goal off a speculative shot that caught the keeper off guard. We drew the second game 0-0 against a Eurasian team that boasted K. Kanan a former international in their team. We made it through the quarter-finals.

We were unable to score more goals and drew 0-0 the quarters against Joo Chiat CSC. It went into penalty kicks. Unfortunately we lost 4-5.

Nevertheless it was a good football outing. We enjoyed ourselves and we had surpassed our target of moving into the next round. We had to work on our fitness and come together often to be able to go on further in future tournaments.
