Tottenham Hotspur had  a shaky start against Manchester City away at the Etihad stadium trailing 0-2. Nevertheless Spurs came back to draw 2-2

If we had lost the game, we lost to ourselves more than to City. It was just wasn’t our day. We were slow off the blocks and didn’t get the rub of the green like the first game. In the first game most times get second balls or ball ricochet nicely to our own players. But this game all went agst us.

Wimmer didn’t give confidence and that affected the team. Lloris got nervous and really showed after he made the blunders. Balls that rolled back to him that can be collected, he kicked. And our players, on this rare occasion couldn’t get to the ball first barring Wanyama who had a stupendous game alongside Dembele. And Poch took too long to replace Dembele. Pfft

Upfront, we couldn’t just toe poke the ball forward simply. Keep trying to hold and dribble or beat another man when it was quite clear wat City was doing. Pep said that it would be crazy to let Spurs play. Kane, Son and Alli were guilty of this. Alli returned to his nonsense that reminded me of how he was last season. He could have left the ball for Eriksen from Kane’s thru ball. Still need some growing.

Eriksen finally won a duel header at the final minutes of the game. Pfft u guys noticed?? Man, it’s like me having to watch my U-11.

We just didn’t get going. Lady Luck probably got stucked in traffic. We were fortuitous with Walker’s “nudge”. Comparing to wat happened to Morgan in the just ended game, Walker gave an idea how to thread finely.

And we were fortunate to have Bravo who conceded his 6th on target shot.

Im shocked about Lloris more than disappointed but keep telling myself how many he had saved us. I’m not sure how to take stats that he made the second most saved in the league but am thankful.

At 2-2, it was only proper that Pep looked up to Jesus for help. And boy he was a menace. Let’s thank our lucky stars we played them oredi. They will play Pool, Arse and Chelsea consecutively in March and April. Looking good for us in the run in.

Tactically, Pep showed to me how they were able to pull all our players to one side and get us on the wings. If anything, it shd give us a way when we meet Pool.

Still plenty of points to play. I just want to get back to that good feeling of how beautiful we been playing. Exquisite.
